This place is located in a plaza with a private lot. There was plenty of parking. Inside has plenty of space with many tables and chairs. They also play good music. The workers were friendly and answered all of our questions about the sweet and savory bites they offer. We had the matcha latte (average), buttercream latte (average), tiramisu coffee with vanilla ice cream (super tasty, but hard to cut), a sweet potato filled donut (light and airy; good), and a bagel with half blueberry spread (average)and half bacon and onion spread (tasty).

Free parking? Beautiful & tasty drinks? Ample seating? Almost no LA cafe has all three, but Cafe Upper does. I loved the cream in both einspanners and enjoyed my studying in the spacious seating area. Only qualm would be that the drinks are on the expensive side, $8-9 for an einspanner!

Honestly a good place to work if I'm nearby. Music and crowd can be loud but you can't beat free parking in ktown lol Coffee wise it's more leaning to Korean style where it's more mid to dark roast where it's more caramel and woody

I liked it. Cool cafe in Ktown. Inside is bright and modern. Decent amount of seating. It can get quite loud in there though so maybe a better place for socializing than studying or working. They have a nice mix of hot and cold drinks. For food they got desserts, pastries, and bagels. I got the strawberry yogurt smoothie, I liked it. A nice cold treat. My friend got the chamomile relaxer and liked it. She also got a bagel to snack on. Would definitely come back. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's a small parking lot in back but it fills up fast. Otherwise there's street meters.

Such a cool cafe in Koreatown, and it definitely doesn't hurt that they have a large parking lot! Love the modern vibe and decor here, and so appreciate how they're open late! The chairs and seats aren't the most comfortable in the world, but I did spend a few hours getting some work done here, and I do think I'll be back. I came on a weekday during the day, and there were a good amount of people stationed here to work. The drinks come with a hefty price tag, but they are very good, and I love the creative options they have. I got the Black Sesame Einspanner, and this was incredible. It came with a lady finger, which was a thoughtful touch, and the drink itself was creamy, delectable, but not too sweet.

This was the most seamless visit to a cafe I've had in Koreatown. The parking was easy because of the huge lot and we were able to easily find a seat despite how crowded it was at 10 p.m. They have plenty of indoor seating and variety too whether you're looking for tables, small one-seater squares, bubble chairs, you name it. I also loved how modern the decor was. As for the drinks, I tried the taro einspanner, matcha einspanner, and the Vienna latte. Personally, they were all alright to me as in they weren't bad but they weren't amazing enough where I'd want to go back for any time soon. However, their bingsu is a different story. I got the matcha because the menu said it was the most popular and I saw why right away. It has a very rich flavor and vibrant color, and every shaving of ice is coated. I thought the choice of brownies was an interesting pairing but it works if you like chocolate. The staff was also nice and the order came out decently fast for how crowded it was.

One of many amazing cafes in Ktown. Parking is easy to find as they have their own parking lot that they share with other businesses. The inside is a very modern looking cafe with fun accent pieces like a blow up chair. The menu consisted of plenty of coffee options and a few pastries. I got the matcha latte with Vienna cream top which was delicious. Definitely recommend this if you are into cold foam toppers. We got our order pretty quickly. There wasn't much of a packed cafe it was a weekday afternoon.

Great coffee spot! Lots of table and parking available! Open late too, which isn't common in Ktown. Delicious bagels and pastries as well.

This is a nice and modern dessert/coffee cafe/shop. Even on a weekday it's pretty busy. Grab a coffee or Einspener and crank out some work, or grab a croffle or cake for dessert. Or you can grab a cappuccino AND a cake AND a croffle for the best of both worlds. God knows I deserve to treat myself for eating a hearty dinner just prior to coming here. Despite the vibes being casual and busy, I don't know if one would actually be able to get work done effectively here. Seems more of a socializing environment to me than anything else. Either way, this is a nice cafe relative to all the other cafes you can find in ktown.

A little upset that I haven't BEAN to @upper_la until now If you've been looking for a quality einspanner latte, @upper_la is definitely my new pick! Their menu includes innovative, Asian-inspired flavors such as taro, rose matcha and black sesame, and you can definitely tell that they use premium teas, coffee roasts, and ingredients to artfully craft their drinks. In addition to an impressive menu of sophisticated drinks and pastries, they also have super friendly + quick service, plenty of tables, free internet, a bathroom, and lots of outlets, making it perfect for studying or grabbing a drink with friends!
